Naked Nut Wins Pollinator Award
BFF_Logo_Transparent.jpg

Naked is Good, Especially for Pollinators

The Naked Nut Growers of California’s farming company, Pacific Gold Agriculture, won Honorable Mention this year from the North American Pollinator Campaign. This organization recognized our farming practices that support efforts to “support pollinators in their working landscapes,” and named our orchards pollinator-friendly.

Pollinators include domesticated insects like bees, but also include native pollinators, like beetles and butterflies, as well as animals, like birds and bats. We are proud of our sustainable practices that promote soil health, pollinator health, and long-term viability of the environment.

Naked Nut Growers Join in Pecan-A-Thon Fun!

In November, the American Pecan Council produced the Pecan-A-Thon, a holiday show featuring pecans. Actress Wendy McLendon-Covey hosted the production, which is featured on epicurious.com and AmericanPecan.com, through the holiday season.

Pecan growers from California, Georgia, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Oklahoma came together in New York City to film the production, which highlights our American Original Supernut, the Pecan! Our own Naked Nuts, Ben & Laura King, represented California, and tried on their acting skills to promote the marketing efforts of the American Pecan Council.

Take a peek at this fun, quirky show to get recipes and decorating ideas for your holiday dinner parties! Tasty pecans and other nuts always available at TheNakedNut.com for all of your celebrations.

Naked Nut Growers of California Featured on Public Television

That’s right! Our Naked Nuts were Exposed on TV!

Emmy winning host Rob Stewart and his crew came to our almond orchards to highlight our commitment to sustainable growing practices. Rob’s PBS show, “Rob on the Road” showcases the people and places around Northern California, and shines a light on the immense beauty, history and diversity of the area.

The televised segment about our trees featured our commitment to cover crops and honeybee habitat. Rob highlighted the importance of honey bees, and got stung several times during filming! He was impressed with how much intention it takes to grow almonds, while also attending to things we care about: soil health, carbon capture, and keeping this unique California ecological system viable for many generations to come. Take a look at this clip of “Rob on the Road” and learn about our commitment to Pure Naked Goodness.
